Sharing & invites
Caliper has two ways to bring raters into a review. They're different surfaces because they solve different problems.
Invites — for teammates
- Open the review overview
From a dataset's detail page, click the review card to reach its overview.
- Click Invite
The invite dialog asks for one or more email addresses, separated by commas or newlines.
- Send
Each invited address gets an email with a direct link to the rating form. If they're already a workspace member, the link drops them straight into the form; if they're not, the link routes them through sign-in first.
Invites are best when:
- The people you need to rate are already part of (or should be part of) the workspace.
- You want their ratings tied to a known account — the raters strip on the results page resolves their avatars + names.
- The review is internal — every rater is someone with a
@yourcompany.comaddress.
Share links — for everyone else
A share link is a long-lived URL anyone can use to join the review as a guest. No account required.
- Click Share on the review overview
The share dialog generates a link of the form
caliper.zerowidth.ai/r/<token>. - Send the link
Email it, paste it into Slack, drop it in a doc — anywhere the rater group lives.
- Guests identify themselves
Each visitor to the link is asked for their name + email before they start rating. That identity sticks for their session, so a guest can stop and resume.
Revoking a link
Share links are revocable. Open the same Share dialog, find the link in the list, click revoke. Anyone who already rated through it keeps their ratings; new visits to the URL get a "this link has been revoked" message instead of the rating form.
When share links are the right call
- Domain experts at a partner company who shouldn't have access to your workspace at large.
- A wide call for feedback — a customer council, a caliper of past users — where you don't want to manage individual invites.
- One-off external review of a sensitive output where the reviewer should see this review and nothing else.
Choosing between them
Where to go next
- Reviews — the surface invites + share links route into.
- Datasets and Rubrics — the inputs to the review the raters are scoring.
